On Republic Day, Domino's delivered pizzas to soldiers at Siachen
What's the story
For Indian Army soldiers posted at the Siachen glacier in Jammu and Kashmir, Republic Day turned out to be a surprise as they received piping hot pizza from a famed fast food company.
Situated at 20,000ft, Siachen is the world's highest battleground, but that did not stop Domino's Pizza from sending a team there to treat jawans to pizza on Republic Day.

The gesture was appreciated across social media
Given the fact that soldiers posted at Siachen glacier endure extreme altitudes and temperatures as low as minus 60 degrees Celsius, the gesture by Domino's was a heart-warming one.
Twitterati and netizens, too, appreciated the pizza delivery chain's Republic Day gesture, with many saying that they would now become permanent customers of Domino's.
Domino's replied humbly, saying it was their pleasure.
