Modi took action with an eye on politics: Dikshit
In the interview, Dikshit said, "It has to be agreed that Manmohan Singh was not as strong in dealing with terrorism as the current prime minister is." However, the former Delhi Chief Minister also added she feels that PM Modi took action against Pakistan only "with an eye on politics", referring to the Indian Air Force's airstrikes on Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Balakot.
There's a feeling Modi is doing it for politics: Dikshit
"Manmohan Singh, yes, I agree with you, was not as strong as and as determined as he (PM Modi) is. But there is also a feeling that he is doing it all for politics," said Dikshit in an interview with journalist Vir Sanghvi for CNN-News18.
Sheila Dikshit on PM Modi's comments after Balakot airstrikes
Following the Balakot airstrikes, PM Modi questioned why the then UPA government didn't respond strongly after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, suggesting the former government did nothing for national security. When asked about this, Sheila Dikshit questioned, "Has there been any time that security of this country has not been taken care of, even during Indira ji's time?"
