UP: Seven killed in bus accident on Lucknow-Agra Expressway
Six students and a teacher died while two others were injured after being hit by a speeding bus in Tirwa area of UP's Kannuaj district on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway today at 4 am, police said. "The accident occurred when students were filling diesel from one bus to another and were run over by a bus, which was passing by," the police spokesperson said.
Yogi announces Rs. 2L compensation for the deceased's kin
The students were from Sant Kabirnagar district and were going to Haridwar. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the deaths of the six Basic Training Certificate students and the teacher. He has announced financial assistance of Rs. 2L for the kin of each of the deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for each of the injured persons. He has directed officials to register an FIR.
