Over 25,000 men are deployed across the NCR, especially in high-crowd points like the IGI Airport. Fifty cameras have been installed in the Red Fort itself. Six hundred CCTV cameras, 20 IP cameras and 112 normal ones are looking over the city.
According to intel, a Kashmiri terrorist is already in town
According to intel, one Muzaffar Shah from Kashmir, part of local terror units, has already entered the city to carry out terror attacks. He along with his associates has reportedly been visiting Nizamuddin and Jama Masjid frequently since some days.
To prevent attacks, stringent security at strategic locations
On I-Day eve, personnel conducted extensive checks on individuals at the airport, Nizamuddin, Rajghat and other significant locations. Snipers were placed on rooftops at strategic points. On-foot patrolling was underway. Drones and choppers will conduct aerial survey; the area above Red Fort is a no-fly zone for now. Meanwhile, three alleged members of Manipur-based terror outfit Kangleipak Communist Party were arrested in the city.
