The cadet was undergoing fighter training
The cadet, identified as Rashi by some reports, was undergoing fighter training. After the crash, witnesses said she asked locals for a mobile phone and informed the authorities. She was then rushed to a hospital. A court of inquiry has been ordered.
Another pilot had escaped a similar crash in September
Two months ago on September 28, a Kiran aircraft crashed at Ankireddipally village, 70km from Hyderabad. The aircraft had moved too close to a crushing machine and crashed in the fields. It was completely burnt. In that case too, the pilot, who had sensed the crash, escaped unhurt. Preliminary reports attributed it to a technical snag, but an official statement is awaited.
