Saudi woman flees home, enters India illegally to marry lover
Many couples have proven time and again that love is the ultimate goal. The latest to inspire us is a Saudi Arabian woman. When her family's driver, an Indian, returned home, she couldn't bear to be apart. So the 27-year-old fled the country, reached Nepal, sneaked into India and got married to him. A filmy chase by her father followed, but she didn't leave.
Three months after her lover returned, she left her country
The 30-year-old Indian left her father's employment earlier this year and reached his hometown, Nizamabad (Telangana), in February. But soon, he received a call from the girl, who said she couldn't bear to stay away from him. She asked him not to worry and that she would be with him soon. Last month, after weeks of preparations, she slipped out of her home and her country.
Her lover was waiting, but her father was following
She reached Nepal and entered India illegally through the border, all alone. Then she made her way to Delhi, where her lover was waiting for her. They didn't waste time and rushed back to Nizamabad, where they got married. But like any filmy story, her father had launched a search for her and soon reached Hyderabad along with Saudi Arabian embassy officials.
Abduction case lodged against him, but she took the blame
Her father, unaware that she had married him, lodged an abduction complaint against his former driver. Investigators traced her to Nizamabad, but she was not one to back down. She told police she had married him voluntarily, and wanted to stay in India. She still has to obtain citizenship, for which she has already approached the government. But the abduction case has been dropped.
This woman broke several shackles for love
This woman not only left behind a life of riches in her affluent Saudi circles, she also went against, and defeated, the shackles of a strictly conservative society to travel across the world alone for her lover. We wish this couple the best of luck!
