PSEB Chairman Sanjay Kothari appointed as secretary to the president
IAS officer Sanjay Kothari of Haryana cadre has been appointed as the secretary to the president. Meanwhile, Bharat Lal of Gujarat cadre has been appointed as joint secretary to the president. Kothari, currently serving as chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board, has been appointed for an initial period of two years. The move was approved by the appointment committee of the cabinet yesterday.
President Pranab Mukherjee's term to end in two days
Incumbent President Pranab Mukherjee's term is set to end on July 25. Former Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind will succeed him as the 14th president of India. He will be sworn in on July 25.
