President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in New Delhi on Wednesday, commemorating the 155th anniversary of his birth. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Minister Manohar Lala and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, also paid respects. PM Modi to launch sanitation projects worth ₹9,600 crore
Besides paying homage, PM Modi also took part in Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024, celebrating 10 years since the scheme's launch. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various sanitation and cleanliness projects worth over ₹9,600 crore. These projects include those under AMRUT and AMRUT 2.0, the National Mission for Clean Ganga, and the GOBARdhan Scheme.
