Salaries of DSP, ASP, and SP level officers
After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, reportedly, the pay scale of an entry-level deputy superintendent of police (DSP) officer, under a state police or central police force, is Rs. 56,100 per month. For an entry-level additional superintendent of police (ASP) officer, the salary is Rs. 67,700. Going higher in the hierarchy, a superintendent of police (SP) officer earns Rs. 78,800 a month.
SSP, DGP, IGP, ADGP, DGP officers
The monthly salary of a senior superintendent of police (SSP) is Rs. 1,18,500. For a deputy inspector general of police (DIGP), the salary is Rs. 1,31,100, and an inspector general of police (IGP) bags a salary of Rs. 1,44,200. Finally, an additional director general of police (ADGP) earns Rs. 2,05,400, and the director general of police (DGP) of a state gets Rs. 2,25,000 monthly.
