Sachin Tendulkar plays cricket with youngsters on a Mumbai street
You can take a man out of a sport, but not a sport out of a man. A video of Sachin Tendulkar playing cricket on a Mumbai street yesterday evokes that emotion. The video shows him, wearing white shirt and black trouser, emerging from a car and approaching the youngsters already playing cricket. The stunned youngsters handed him the bat and his magic began.
His buddy Vinod Kambli shared the video
Sachin could just play five balls, before crowd started gathering
The video, recorded by his childhood buddy Vinod Kambli, shows 44-year-old Sachin playing near a construction site in Bandra. He could just play five balls, before crowd started gathering. He obliged his fans by clicking selfies with them and took a moment to think of a reply when someone requested him to visit his restaurant located nearby. "I could see childhood's Sachin," said Kambli.
"Once a cricketer always a cricketer," Kambli rightly points out
"They would have got a shock as 'God' came in front of them. These people normally see us in the stadium. It is their luck to see Sachin from close. I and he have the same feeling: once a cricketer always a cricketer," said Kambli.
