If people stop eating beef, lynching incidents will stop: RSS-leader
Experts, the government, the judiciary, and the masses, everyone is shocked by the alarming rise in mob lynching incidents, and no one knows how to solve it. But RSS leader Indresh Kumar has a solution: stop people from eating beef. "If the practice of eating cow meat is stopped, many such crimes of the 'Satan' could be stopped," he said, emphasizing the role of 'sanskar.'
"Christianity says 'Holy Cow,' Islam bans cow slaughter in Mecca-Madina"
Addressing a press conference after a Hindu Jagran Manch event in Ranchi, Kumar said, "No religion approves killing of cows. Be it Christianity, which talks of 'Holy Cow', because Jesus was born in a cowshed; or Islam, where killing cows is banned in Mecca and Madina." "Law has to be there and the government must act, but society also needs the right 'sanskar' to deal with this problem."
"Muslim parties ready to give up Masjid demand at Ayodhya"
Kumar also spoke about the Ayodhya dispute, asserting several Muslim parties involved in the case had already agreed to give up their demand of a mosque. According to him, the change of heart came because the site was "Ram Janmasthan", the birthplace of Lord Ram. He added that calling Hindus communal comes with the risk of labelling all religions as communal.
Recently, SC directed the Centre to frame laws on lynching
This comes days after a man was lynched in Rajasthan's Alwar on suspicion of cow smuggling. It was the third such case in Alwar since Pehlu Khan was murdered last April. In November, the body of Umar Mohammed, allegedly lynched, was found on railway tracks. Recently, the SC took cognizance, giving the Centre four weeks to come up with a law on such crimes.
