What allegations are leveled by Rippling co-founder against his wife
What's the story
Prasanna Sankar, co-founder of software company Rippling, has leveled serious allegations against his estranged wife, Dhivya Sashidhar.
The Singapore-based tech entrepreneur accused her of having an affair and abducting their nine-year-old son.
These claims come as the couple wades through a complicated divorce process.
They first met during their studies at the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) and have been married for 10 years.
Infidelity claims
Allegations of infidelity and false accusations
In a long post on X, Sankar accused Sashidhar of being unfaithful with a man named Anoop, claiming their relationship lasted over six months.
He claimed he was alerted by Anoop's wife, who sent him screenshots of their chats.
Sankar also accused Sashidhar of filing false charges against him, including domestic violence and rape.
"She...filed a fake police complaint against me saying I hit her. Later, she made...fake complaints that I raped her...circulated her nude videos...Singapore police...cleared me," Sankar wrote.

False allegations
Accusations of false charges and police investigation
Sankar alleged these were filed in retaliation to their divorce settlement negotiations.
He claimed his wife "abducted" their nine-year-old son to the US, which led him to initiate an international child abduction case.
He stated that the US court ruled in his favor, prompting the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between them.
According to the agreement, Sankar was required to pay his wife around ₹9 crore and ₹4.3 lakh per month and share joint custody of their son.
Abduction claims
Allegations of child abduction and international custody battle
However, tensions between the two rose when his wife failed to comply with the MoU, particularly over the deposit of their child's passport in a shared locker.
This led to more legal challenges.
"She did not attend the courts. Instead she showed up to my hotel at 10:00pm in the night and calls my son to the lobby for 10 minutes luring him which I stopped. She then chose to call the police and filed a kidnapping complaint against me."

Chennai police are trying to extort me: Techie
The techie then fled with his son, apprehensive about the possibility of wrongful arrest.
"The cops were still trying to locate me...They hit my mom's house and asked for me."
He alleged that without a warrant, the cops arrested his friend Gokul, who assisted in picking up his child from his wife.
"They've also asked...Gokul to sign saying my social media tweets are false," he said.
He said the Chennai police are trying to extort ₹25 lakh to release Gokul.
