The girl's father alleged she was raped by at least 8-10 men. Her mother lashed out at the police and said while her daughter was traumatized, the accused were 'roaming freely'.
"Is this the price we have to pay?" asks mother
"The government talks about Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, but is this price we have to pay for getting our daughters educated? The accused are roaming freely. We were made to run from pillar to post before our complaint was taken," said her mother.
Police claims raids are underway to nab the accused
Meanwhile, police said separate teams were formed to nab the accused. Mahendergarh Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said raids were being conducted in Mahendergarh, Rewari and neighboring areas. Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda demanded that Manohar Lal Khattar should resign on moral grounds, as there is a complete breakdown of law in the state.
