Renowned classical singer Pandit Arun Bhaduri passed away at a city hospital in Kolkata this morning after a prolonged illness.
The 75-year-old singer had composed several famous songs such as Papiha Bole Le Re and Meera Magan Bhayee Hari Ke Gun Gun.
He is survived by wife and son.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her grief over the demise of Pandit Bhaduri.

History
Bhaduri was suffering from COPD, respiratory ailments
Pandit Bhaduri, considered to be one of the masters of Bengali songs and bhajans, was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory ailments for quite some time.
He had served as a teacher at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy and was a top radio and television artiste.
Pandit Bhaduri was trained in Indian music by Md A Daud and Md Sagiruddin Khan.
