Indian Navy completes refit of 32-year-old Mauritius Coast Guard ship
The Indian Navy has completed "service life extension refit" of a 32-year-old Mauritius Coast Guard Ship (MCGS) Guardian ship. The six-month-long overhaul in Mumbai was undertaken in furtherance of the Navy's diplomatic outreach, the Western Naval Command (WNC) said. The process started on 1 Dec'17 at Naval Dockyard; it ensured timely completion of its hull, engineering, electrical, and weapon work package, WNC said.
