RBI Governor Urjit Patel to deliver lecture to anti-corruption officers
RBI Governor Urjit Patel is scheduled to deliver a lecture to senior anti-corruption officers working with banks and other public sector organizations next week in New Delhi. Patel, who took over as the chief of the central bank in 2016, is likely to talk, about key issues related to the banking and financial sector at the programme Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). Here are details of the lecture
The lecture is part of a monthly series, initiated after KV Chowdary became the Central Vigilance Commissioner in 2015. Patel will deliver the lecture on September 20 at the CVC office, and it'll be a first-of-its-kind interaction with the select senior central government officers.
Amitabh Kant had also delivered the lecture at CVC office
The lecture series will be attended by Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs), who act as a distant arm of the CVC to check corruption in government departments. NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant, former SEBI chairman M Damodaran and Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) chief Ajay Bhushan Pandey, among others, have also delivered the lecture at the CVC office.
