At Ujjain's donkey fair, 'Ram Rahim' and 'Honeypreet' are sold!
Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh and his adopted daughter Honeypreet are in prison, serving their time for different crimes. But there are still some people out there who want these influential personalities to "pay for their acts". With that in mind, a man named two of his donkeys after them and put the animals up for sale at Ujjain's donkey fair!
The pair of donkeys sold for Rs. 11,000
The donkey fair on the banks of Kshipra is an annual affair, when thousands of sellers visit with their decked-up animals. This time, Hariom Prajapat decided to name his donkeys after the disgraced sect leaders. He wanted to sell them for Rs. 20,000, but managed to get only Rs. 11,000. A Rajasthan-based trader bought them yesterday, on the last day of the five-day fair.
'Bahubali', 'Sultan', 'Jio' and 'GST' appeared at the fair too!
Though breed and physical features of donkeys play a major role in deciding their price, sellers often name them after famous people to up the appeal. This year, animals named after Bahubali, Sultan, and even Jio and GST made an appearance!
