Rajasthan Public Service Commission announces 5,000 vacancies for school teachers
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for a whopping 5,000 school teachers in the secondary education department. There are vacancies in several subjects, including Geography, Punjabi, Public Administration, Drawing, Music and Chemistry. However, the exact number of posts available is still tentative. How many posts are available?
782 vacancies have been announced in geography, 129 in economics, 15 in Punjabi, 118 in commerce, 166 in biology, 160 in chemistry, 849 in Hindi, 815 in political science, 370 in agriculture, 304 in English, 193 in mathematics and 156 in Sanskrit, among others.
Who can apply?
Candidates applying for these posts need to be at least 21 years of age and a maximum of 40 years as on July 1, 2018. There are age relaxations for certain categories. They would need to have completed their B.Ed and a postgraduate degree in their subject. They also need to know how to write Hindi and have knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
How can you apply?
Shortlisted candidates will have to appear an exam either online or offline to be selected for the posts. It will consist objective-type questions. To apply, go to. www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, click on 'Apply Online' on the left column and choose 'New Application Portal (through SSO and Aadhaar).' Click on 'Register' and create an account. Complete the process and make the payment online.
