Rajasthan: Curfew imposed in Tonk after attack on Kanwariyas
What's the story
Curfew was imposed in Malpura area in Rajasthan's Tonk district today as fresh violence erupted a day after locals pelted stones at Kanwariyas.
"An unruly mob today torched a shop. We dispersed them and a curfew was imposed," Additional SP Goverdhan Sekaria said.
Members of the minority community had attacked the Kanwariyas while they were passing through a Muslim-dominated area in Malpura yesterday.

Yesterday's attack on Kanwariyas led to tension in Malpura area and an angry mob torched a vehicle following which Section 144 of CrPC, which prohibits gathering of crowds, was imposed. Further details are awaited.
