Rajasthan man dupes of Rs. 1cr, promises Rajya Sabha seat
A man has been arrested by the Rajasthan police from Karauli district for allegedly duping two people of Rs. 1 crore, promising to get them elected as Rajya Sabha MP and as Chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The accused, Sanjay Singh Naruka (32), is a resident of Malakhera town in Alwar district. Here's more about him.
Accused showed him a screenshot of PM Modi's calls
According to the police, the complaint was lodged by a victim named Hukma Singh Kashyap, on August 23. Hukma alleged that the accused, Naruka, had shown him screenshots of calls from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with various central Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, high court judges, Governors, Chief Ministers of four states and several other senior bureaucrats.
Naruka took over Rs. 1cr from Kashyap and his friend
"Naruka took Rs. 40 lakh from Kashyap and assured him of a seat in Rajya Sabha," said Ajay Singh, superintendent of police, Karauli district. "He (Naruka) also took Rs. 61 lakh from his friend Ramvinod alias Happu Rajput, promising him appointment as Chairman of RPSC and getting his brother the post of a school principal," he added.
Naruka used prank call app to fool people
"After the complaint was lodged, Naruka was nabbed from his home," Ajay Singh said. It was revealed during investigation that with the help of a prank call app on his mobile, Naruka used to make fake calls and had people believe that he had connections with people at high ranks.
