Rahul spoke to Rajamma and listened to her with a smile when she recalled about his birth and holding him in her arms as a baby. She gifted the Congress chief homemade jackfruit chips and sweets. Rahul promised Rajamma that he will meet her again.
'I am really happy and excited,' says Rajamma
"I am really happy and excited. I was the first among the few who took Rahul as a newborn in their hands. All those memories gushed through my mind when I met him again," Rajamma said. "I felt I should give him some gift. That is why I gave him sweets and chips made by me," the 72-year-old retired nurse added.
Rajamma pursued nursing and later worked as military nurse
Rajamma pursued nursing from Holy Family Hospital and later worked as a military nurse. She took voluntary retirement and returned to Kerala in 1987. She settled in Kalloor near Wayanad's Sulthan Bathery.
