Quint founder Raghav Bahl's residence raided by I-T officials
What's the story
On Thursday, Income Tax officials raided the residence of media baron, Raghav Bahl in connection with a case of alleged tax evasion.
The sleuths reportedly looked for documents and other data related to the case. It is believed I-T officials raided homes of other businessmen too.
A media entrepreneur, Bahl is the founder of 'The Quint' and the Network 18 group.

Bahl was in Mumbai when his home and office raided
Apart from his residence, the office of 'The Quint' was also raided by the team.
In a message to Editor's Guild, Bahl said he was in Mumbai when the team arrived at his home and office for 'survey'.
He said the company was 'fully tax compliant entity' and will provide all necessary documents to the investigating officials.

Request to not pick serious journalistic material: Bahl
"I have just spoken to the officer on my premises, one Mr. Yadav, and requested him, strongly, to not try and pick up or see any other mail/document which is likely to contain very serious/sensitive journalistic material," Bahl said.
Statement
Bahl informs he is returning to Delhi
Bahl said he hoped the Editor's Guild will get back to him and set a new precedent.
"They set a precedent for any such exercise that may happen on any other journalistic entity in the future," he said.
He added they "should also not misuse their smartphones to take unauthorized copies of this material". He informed he was on his way back to Delhi.
