As it turns out, recently, the results of Punjab government's New Year Lohri Bumper Draw were announced, and a 30-year-old police constable named Ashok Kumar emerged as the lucky one. Kumar has said the prize money has changed his life
A resident of Motian village in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district, Kumar had never imagined that he would become a crorepati one day. Interestingly, as the lottery results were announced, he realized that he had misplaced the lottery ticket, but later found it in his desk drawer at a police station. Kumar said that the bumper prize money has changed his life, obviously.

Notably, these lotteries are conducted by the Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries, Chandigarh. The lottery schemes are broadly classified into three types, viz. Weekly, Monthly, and Bumper lottery schemes. The tickets are sold at bus-stands, railway stations, markets, Sewa Kendras, and Post offices in Punjab.
Punjab Sawan Bumper lottery tickets are still up for grabs
The sale of lottery tickets under the Punjab State Sawan Bumper 2019 scheme is still underway, and the draw is scheduled for July 8. To note, there will be two joint-winners for the first prize of Rs. 3 crore, who would take home Rs. 1.5 crore each. The second prize money is Rs. 10 lakh and third prize money is Rs. 2.5 lakh.
