Private helicopter crashes in Pune, all 4 passengers injured
A private helicopter crashed on Saturday in Paud village, Pune district, due to strong winds and bad weather. The aircraft was en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad when the unfortunate incident occurred. Superintendent of Police (Pune Rural), Pankaj Deshmukh, confirmed that all four individuals on board survived but sustained injuries. "A private helicopter crashed near Paud village in Pune district," Deshmukh told ANI.
Helicopter belonged to Global Vectra
The helicopter involved in the crash is an AW 139 model, operated by Global Vectra, a private aviation company. The four passengers have been identified as Anand Captain, Deer Bhatia, Amardeep Singh, and SP Ram. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued orange alerts, warning of severe rains in the Satara and Pune districts of western Maharashtra.
