Kerala: KASE launches portal for job seekers and employers
Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) has conceived and launched a new portal, providing single window facility for job seekers and employers yesterday in Kerala. LinkedIn, a social media platform for job seekers has been integrated into this initiative by KASE. KASE, in association with the Labor Commissionerate, will create a Labor Bank that will be linked to the jobs portal. Here's more.
Significant features of the portal
Dr. Sriram Venkitaraman, MD, KASE, and Director Employment and Training highlighted the salient features of the portal at the launch yesterday. In Phase I, employer and employee will register and job fairs, data analysis and job search and application using various parameters will be available. In Phase II, a skill registry, digi locker facility, and job blogs have been planned, he said.
Labor Minister says private firm vacancies will also be posted
Speaking at the launch yesterday, Kerala Labour minister, TP Ramakrishnan said the government will conduct a study to assess setting up skill centers in the state, and will also expand the industrial internship program. He added that vacancies of private firms will also be posted. LinkedIn India Country Head Sehraj Singh elaborated on the association of the networking site LinkedIn with this portal.
