Bilaspur professors booked for molestation after PMO steps in

Two professors of a private college in Bilaspur have been booked for allegedly molesting a female colleague.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) had written to the Bilaspur police, urging them to take appropriate action.
The case was registered against Subir Sen and Durga Sharan Chandra, professors of commerce and physics respectively at the DP Vipra College in Bilaspur.

Details of the molestation case
The victim is the widow of Army personnel.
She had complained to the Sainik Kalyan Board, saying that the accused had molested her and passed lewd comments at her.
She said that the duo had tried to pressure her into having an intimate relationship with them.
The Sainik Kalyan Board had forwarded the complaint to PMO, which had then stepped in.
Investigation
Details of the investigation into the case
The Bilaspur police had received a letter from the PMO on the 11th of December directing them to take appropriate action in the case, said Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha.
A preliminary investigation was undertaken after which a case was registered at the Kotwali police station under relevant provisions of the law.
No arrests have been made so far.
