Political party PMK demands Fingerprint Sub-Inspectors exam in Tamil also
PMK, a Tamil Nadu-based political party, today claimed the competitive examination for selecting Fingerprint Sub-Inspectors of police in Tamil Nadu was proposed to be held only in English and demanded that the same be conducted in Tamil, as had been the practice in the past. "It's a betrayal of Tamil students," said PMK founder, S Ramadoss, who also demanded 20% quota for Tamil-medium aspirants.

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has announced the examination will be conducted only in English, Ramadoss claimed, adding till 2015, the examinations for selecting technical personnel and Fingerprint Sub-Inspectors were held in Tamil. "Usurping" the rights of Tamil students is unacceptable, the PMK leader said and urged the government to take steps to hold the competitive examination in Tamil.
Date of Fingerprint SI exam is yet to be announced
Online applications were received till September 28 for selecting 202 Sub-Inspectors (Fingerprint). In the August 28 notification, the TNUSRB had sought applications from men, women and transgender candidates for this direct recruitment drive. The date of the competitive examination is yet to be announced.
