PM Modi to inaugurate Mahatma Gandhi museum in Gujarat tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat tomorrow to inaugurate a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, an Amul chocolate plant, and development projects in Rajkot, Anand, and Kutch districts. In Rajkot, Modi will inaugurate Mahatma Gandhi Museum at Alfred High School. The school, from where Gandhi passed his matriculation in 1887, was closed in 2017 after authorities decided to convert it into a museum.
Amul plant to produce 1,000 tons of chocolates every month
Modi's day-long visit will begin with the inauguration of a chocolate plant at Mogar in Anand district of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), owner of the Amul brand; he'll address a gathering of farmers. The plant, built with an investment of Rs. 190 crore, will produce 1,000 tons of chocolates every month against the capacity of 600 tons of the existing plant.
Modi to launch a solar energy cooperative society
Via video link, Modi will launch a solar energy cooperative society at Mujkuwa in Anklav tehsil of the Anand district. The society has been formed by eleven farmers to produce solar energy for irrigation and sell the surplus. At Anjar in Kutch district, Modi will also dedicate a natural gas pipeline laid by Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) between Mundra Port and Anjar.
Development projects to be launched by PM Modi
Apart from the Gandhi Museum, chocolate plant, solar energy cooperative society, and gas pipeline, Modi will also perform a ground-breaking ceremony for the four-lane work of the highway connecting Varsana, Bhimasar, Anjar and Bhuj towns of Kutch, a district famous for ecologically important Banni grasslands.
