Suggestions
People have already started giving him ideas
After Modi's tweet, people have started giving him suggestions. Many want the PM to speak about rising crimes against women, and understandably so.
Others want him to address the issues like GST implementation, late filing of ITR etc.
There are some who want him to speak about fake news, the rise of lynching incidents, and reservations.
Looking back
This will be Modi's fifth speech from the Red Fort
Notably, this will be Modi's fifth speech on Independence Day. Last year, he had delivered the shortest speech of his tenure, it lasted less than an hour.
In 2017 as well, he had invited suggestions for the speech and promised to look at, as many as possible.
It is left to be seen which suggestions would make it to his speech this time.
