Ahead of Independence Day, Modi changes profile picture to Tricolor
Ahead of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reignited the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by replacing his profile picture on social media platforms with the Indian Tricolor. In a post on X, he also urged citizens to join him in this mass movement. "Let's again make #HarGharTiranga a memorable mass movement. I am changing my profile picture and I urge you all to join me in celebrating our Tricolour by doing the same," he wrote.
'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to be launched nationwide
The third edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be celebrated from August 9 to 15, to mark the 78th Independence Day, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Thursday. PM Modi's party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will launch the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign nationwide from August 11. During this period, the national flag will be hoisted on every house, shop, and office.

A cleanliness drive will also be carried out as part of the campaign. BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh announced that a silent march will be held in all districts on August 14 to observe Partition Remembrance Day. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative launched by the Government of India in 2021.
