Pitbulls: A history of aggression and regulatory measures
Pitbulls are perceived to be aggressive, and being one of the larger dog breeds, their attacks on people, including their owners, result in greater harm.
Faced with the rising number of pet dog attacks, last year, the Centre asked states to ban the sale and breeding of 23 ferocious breeds.
The list features Pitbull Terrier, American Bulldog, Rottweiler, Tosa Inu, and American Staffordshire Terrier, among others.
