India stands with Israel: PM Modi after Netanyahu's phone call
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he received a phone call from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu who informed him about the current situation amid the conflict with the Palestinian terror group Hamas. During the telephone conversation, he also extended India's support to Israel. Taking to X, PM Modi said, "India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."

'India must resolve crisis': Palestinian envoy
The telephonic conversation between PM Modi and Netanyahu comes a day after Palestine's Ambassador to India, Adnan Abu Alhaija, said India was a friend of both Israel and Palestine. He said India must step in to help resolve the crisis. Hours later, Western nations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and France, issued a joint statement expressing "steadfast support" for Israel.
Over 1,600 people dead in Israel-Hamas conflict
Over 1,600 people have died in the fight between Israel and the Hamas terror group so far. Meanwhile, Israel on Tuesday claimed to have regained "full control" over the Gaza border—from where the infiltrators allegedly entered the Israeli territory. Israel declared war against Hamas on Sunday after the Palestinian terror group fired over 5,000 missiles toward Israel and infiltrated its territory on Saturday morning.
Netanyahu threatened Hamas with vengeance
In retaliation, Israel has already launched deadly air strikes against Hamas in central Gaza, which is reportedly home to the group's administration. In response, Hamas reportedly exacerbated the situation by vowing to execute captured Israelis if strikes on civilians were conducted without notice. Earlier in the day, Netanyahu also threatened the terror organization with vengeance that would "reverberate for generations."
