Aligarh: 2 Patients tied to hospital-bed in absence of safeguards
What's the story
In a rather shocking revelation, two patients were found tied to the hospital beds in AMU's Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College's emergency ward.
They were admitted after being spotted injured near the railway track. Their pictures surfaced on social media today.
However, the CMO of the college said they have been tied to prevent them from falling as beds don't have safeguards.

Senior doctors are attending them, defends CMO
They are being treated by senior doctors. Our beds don't have side guards. The patients don't have any relative with them our staff can also not sit here all the time. So, we have tied them to the bed to stop them from falling: SH Zaidi, CMO, Jawaharlal Medical College pic.twitter.com/E7sMOSUvLl

No kin, no friends
No one came looking for patients, since they were found
Both the patients are in their twenties. The cops said no one has come looking for them since they were spotted near railway tracks by Railway Police.
One of them has reportedly suffered a head injury.
Notably, the emergency ward of the college looks deserted as Resident doctors went on strike on Thursday, after one of them was assaulted by senior university student leader.
