Five Pakistani nationals nabbed from near border in Rajasthan
Five Pakistani nationals - two men, two women and a child - were nabbed from a restricted zone of Barmer district in Rajasthan, near Lakhasar village. Local police say they appeared to have crossed the border to visit relatives. They are being questioned. They have valid travel documents, but were detained since they were found loitering in a restricted zone, confirmed police.
Such arrests are not uncommon
Police said the uneducated family didn't appear to know they were in a restricted area. People who cross over to visit relatives often end up being arrested for wandering into the several restricted areas in Barmer, which is close to the Indo-Pak border. This latest development came while the Indian Army DGMO is meeting his Pakistani counterpart to discuss the situation along the LoC.
