India achieved success in getting Pak isolated among Islamic-countries: Swaraj
India has achieved success in getting Pakistan isolated even among Islamic countries in the aftermath of the terror attacks, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said yesterday. Addressing a meeting organized in support of the BJP's candidate in the Malkajgiri (Telangana) Lok Sabha constituency, N Ramachandra Rao, Swaraj said, "We achieved success in isolating Pakistan even among Islamic countries in the world." India couldn't attend 1969 OIC meet because of Pakistan: Swaraj
Swaraj recalled how India was invited to the inaugural-conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in 1969 but couldn't attend the proceedings due to the pressure put by Pakistan. She said India attended the OIC's 50th anniversary meet in Abu Dhabi last month even though Pakistan tried to get her 'disinvited'. Swaraj was invited as the "guest of honor" at the meet.
Rahul should renounce SPG-cover if terrorism not an issue: Swaraj
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made relations with Islamic countries so strong and this is the benefit of his foreign visits, Swaraj asserted. She also lashed out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his reported remarks that terrorism is not an issue. Targeting Gandhi, Sushma said if that is the case, the party supremo should renounce his SPG ( Special Protection Group) security cover.
