Angry Ola cabbie drives 500 meters with passenger on bonnet
An angry Ola cab driver drove for about 500 meters with a passenger stuck in the bonnet of his car on April 2, from Indira Gandhi Airport's domestic terminal. The man, along with his wife and three children landed at 5 PM from Port Blair and booked the cab. The driver didn't allow him to put luggage in car's boot, resulting in an argument.
How the fight between driver and passenger injured the latter
The passenger was adamant about keeping the luggage in car's boot but the driver refused due to lack of space and cancelled the trip. To make his point, the passenger sat on the bonnet and the driver, a member of Sashastra Seema Bal, sped with him, travelling for about 500 metres. The passenger was taken to AIIMS after he suffered injuries from falling.
After ugly run-in with passenger, driver arrested by police
DCP (airport) Sanjay Bhatia said, "The driver asked them not to put luggage in the boot as there wasn't sufficient space due to the CNG cylinder. The driver tried to leave but the man came in front of the car. The driver has been arrested."
