Clarification
Kalapura was asked to offer an explanation today
In its notice, Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC) accused Sister Kalapura, belonging to its St Mary's province, Mananthavady, of leading a life, which was against the "principles of religious life" and the rule of Congregation.
She was asked to offer an explanation to Superior General sister Ann Joseph at Generalate of the Congregation at 11 am today.
The congregation termed Nun's actions as "grave violations".
Violations
Nun published her book 'Snehamazhayil' without seeking permission from superiors
The congregation said a Nun has committed "grave violations" by taking the license, buying a car, taking a loan for it and publishing a book and spending money without permission and knowledge of her superiors.
The provincial superior had denied permission to Sister Kalapura to publish her collection of poems.
She, however, published her book Snehamazhayil without seeking permission from her superiors.

You tried to defame FCC also, letter to Kalapura said
The congregation also called as "grave scandal" the Nun participating in discussions in TV news channels and writing articles for non-Christian newspapers "making false accusations against Catholic leadership and belittling it".
"Through Facebook, channel discussions and articles you belittled the Catholic leadership by making false accusations against it and tried to bring down the sacraments. You tried to defame FCC also," the letter stated.
Response
'There's no doubt that this is an act of revenge'
Meanwhile, Sister Kalapura said, "I don't think my acts, as mentioned by the Catholic Church in its notice, are wrong."
"If I had known they were wrong, I would have never committed them. I did them knowing fully well that they are right. I have no clarification to give regarding that matter. There's no doubt that this is an act of revenge," she added.

Why the Church leadership is miffed with Sister Kalapura?
