Important dates for JEE, NET, NEET announced: Full schedule here
The schedules for JEE Main I, JEE Main II, CMAT and GPAT, NEET (UG), and UGC (NET), have been announced by the HRD ministry. These examinations are held by National Testing Agency (NTA), for admissions in premium institutes of the country. Notably, there hasn't been any change in NEET exam. Like always, it will be held annually using pen-paper mode. Here's the complete schedule.
NTA will conduct first test in December this year
The UGC-NET will be the first exam to be conducted by NTA. The exam will be held from December 9 to 23, this year, using CBT mode. Registrations for the same will open on September 1 and close on September 30. The candidates will be issued admit cards, starting November 19. On January 10, 2019, the results will be declared.
Here are important dates for JEE I and II
The registration dates for JEE I are September 1- 30. The admit cards will be released on December 17, while the exam will be held from January 6 to 20, 2019. For JEE II, the registration will begin from February 8, 2019 till March 7. Admit cards will be released on March 18, and exams will be held from April 6 to 20.
When will results of JEE I and II be declared?
Both JEE I and II will be conducted in eight sittings and the mode will be CBT (Computer Based Test). Results of JEE I will be announced on January 31, 2019, and that of JEE II on April 30, 2019.
Important dates about NEET, CMAT and GPAT
Students can register for CMAT, GPAT and NEET (UG) from November 1, 2018, to November 30. For CMAT and GPAT, admit-cards will be released on January 7, 2019. On January 28, examination will be held and on February 10, results declared. For NEET, admit-cards will be issued on April 15, 2019, exam date is May 5 and results will be announced on June 5.
NTA setting up practice centers to aid students
Notably, NTA is tasked with working as an autonomous testing institute and will conduct examinations in the country. NTA Director General Vineet Joshi said they were setting up test practice centers in the country to ensure candidates from rural areas could practise before the examination. This facility will be available for free across 2,697 institutes from September 1.
