Noida: 25-year-old sucked into, killed by bladed machine, shows CCTV
In a freak, tragic accident, a 25-year-old man was sucked into a machine with blades at a plastic factory in Noida, leading to his death. The incident took place at the Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), that is under the Phase 2 police station limits. The ghastly incident was caught on CCTV and police are currently investigating what went down. Here's more.
Details of the ghastly incident
The incident took place on Wednesday morning when the victim, 25-year-old Wajid, reported to the plastic factory for work. He was cleaning a large machine with blades, when someone switched on the machine, and Wajid was sucked inside. By the time his colleagues realized what was happening and switched off the machine, Wajid had already been killed. His body has been sent for autopsy.
A police official narrates the incident
"Wajid reached for work this morning in the factory which makes plastic products. He was cleaning a big-size machine which has blades in it. While he was cleaning, someone switched on the machine and soon Wajid was sucked inside," said a police official.
Two people have been booked for murder; investigations underway
Following the accident, police were alerted and the reached the factory as soon as possible. By then, Wajid's aggrieved family, who hail from the Chhapra district in Bihar but are settled in Noida, had also arrived. Subsequently, a case was registered against and two persons were booked for murder, based on a complaint by Wajid's brother. Further investigations are underway.
