Noida: Parents presenting fake documents to exploit RTE
Noida administration has ordered a probe into the admission process in schools after complaints were received that parents were submitting fake income certificates to get their wards admitted under Right to Education Act though they have annual income more than Rs.1L, said Noida District Magistrate BN Singh. Probe will be supervised by city magistrate. Meanwhile, admissions for the new session will continue.
229 students got admission under RTE Act so far
He said the district administration has so far admitted 229 students in various private schools in the city. The DM has directed the city magistrate to send notices to parents and check the authenticity of their income certificates. He has also appealed to the public to provide information of persons having higher income whose names appears in the RTE Act beneficiaries.
