'No challan': Noida Traffic Police's Raksha Bandhan gift to women
The Noida Traffic Police has announced a unique initiative for Raksha Bandhan this year. As part of their efforts to promote traffic awareness among women, they will not be issuing any challans on Monday. This move is aimed at allowing women to celebrate the festival with their brothers without worrying about potential penalties.
Noida Traffic Police's awareness campaign and helmet distribution
In addition to the no-challan initiative, the Noida Traffic Police will also distribute helmets to women. However, they have reportedly made it clear that serious traffic rule violations will not be overlooked and will still result in strict action. Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival dedicated to brothers and sisters. As per the Hindu Panchang, the auspicious timings for rakhi will be between 1:30pm and 9:07pm on Monday.
