Telangana: Condoms in spas can lead to their shutting-down
The spas and beauty salons of Hyderabad's IT corridor Cyberabad will now have glass doors, no beds and no cross massages. In a major crackdown insuring customer safety and a check on illegal sexual activities, the Telangana police issued strict guidelines to massage parlors. Even, a condom found inside a spa can lead to its shutting down. Read on to know more.
Salons can no longer hire foreigners on tourist visas
Other than the no beds and cross massages rule, police have also made it mandatory for every spa to keep daily entries of customers and visitors, have CCTV cameras and only transparent partitions. Parlors can no longer hire foreigners with tourist visas and offer services to customers younger than 18 years.
Parlors to shutdown and owners jailed if found guilty
Commissioner Sandeep Sandilya and other top officials of Cyberabad police held a meeting with the owners of several spas and salons to inform them of the reforms. Every offender would be dealt with strictly. First-time violators would be counselled. However, a parlor can be sealed or its owner jailed should the offense be repeated, the police warned.
