Ahmedabad University, American management-school to launch MBA in pharma management
With an aim to tap the huge market potential in pharmaceutical and allied industries, the Gujarat-based Ahmedabad University has collaborated with America's Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego to launch a Global Executive MBA degree in Pharmaceutical Management. The University of California said there was a need in the pharma industry to redefine existing practices, introduce new technology, and cultivate a performance-driven culture that delivers improved quality of access, care, and solutions. "As India becomes a global-pharma hub, it's imperative that the leaders and employees of companies sharpen their technological, scientific, and management acumen," said professor Pradeep Khosla, Chancellor, University of California.
Program will develop next-generation of action-oriented leaders: Ahmedabad University
"The two-year MBA program will enable working professionals in the pharmaceutical sector to develop the next generation of action-oriented leaders, who understand the ethical expectations that societies have of them," said professor Pankaj Chandra, Vice Chancellor, Ahmedabad University.
