Ayodhya Ram Mandir implements new entry pass system; check details
What's the story
The Ayodhya Ram Mandir is going to implement a new entry pass system for darshan due to administrative constraints.
This would restrict access to the temple's first floor, the Ram Darbar, to only 800 devotees a day.
The decision was announced by Nripendra Mishra, Chairman, Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti. He said the restriction was due to the limited space on the first floor.
Implementation
Pass system to regulate darshan
The new pass system will admit only 50 devotees per hour to the Ram Darbar, amounting to 800 visitors daily.
This move is aimed at ensuring a peaceful and orderly darshan experience for all devotees.
Mishra further announced that the Ram Darbar will be installed in early May during an auspicious period.
He assured all the major construction of the Ram Mandir will be completed by December 2025, except the auditorium.
Development
International Ram Katha Museum to add 20 new galleries
Mishra also gave updates about the International Ram Katha Museum, which will be expanded with 20 new galleries.
"The statue of Tulsidas has been installed, which will be vacated for the devotees to visit in the month of April. The task of planting Ramayana period plants related to Lord Ram in Shri Ram temple has been given to a committee which is doing research on the Ram temple and planting Ramayana period plants," Mishra said.
Rituals
Surya Tilak preparations for Ram Navami
The committee also discussed preparations for the Surya Tilak of Lord Ram, an important ritual that is performed on Ram Navami.
A permanent system is being designed to continue this sacred tradition for the next 20 years without breaks.
It will be broadcast live in India and internationally, so devotees across the world can share the spiritual moment.
