NEET 2018 admit cards to be out this week
According to reports, the CBSE is likely to release admit cards for NEET 2018 this week. The admit cards won't be sent to candidates via post, email or any other means. They will have to be downloaded from exam's official website. The NEET exam is scheduled to be conducted across India on May 6. Results will be out in the first week of June.
How can you download the admit card?
To download the admit card, visit www.cbseneet.nic.in/cbseneet/Welcome.aspx and enter your registration number and date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY format). It is advisable to save a copy on your computer; this will also automatically send one to your registered email ID.
About the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test
NEET, conducted by the CBSE, decides admissions into graduate/postgraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS, MD or MS in colleges run under the Medical/Dental Council of India. This is the third time undergraduate medical college admissions are being decided through NEET. Earlier, there was the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) and individual MBBS exams conducted by states and colleges.
Modes, languages and requirements for the exam
The test will be held from 10am to 1:00pm on May 6. It will consist of 180 objective questions from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Students can take the exam in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarat, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Though CBSE had mandated Aadhaar, the SC has now struck down the rule. But candidates need to be aged over 17.
Important dates for the NEET 2018
After the declaration of results, successful candidates will undergo counseling. The last date of joining for the first round will be July 12. The last date for the second round will be August 3. The entire process is expected to be completed by August end.
