Need to include yoga in school-curriculum to create healthy-nation: Naidu
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today stressed on the need to include Yoga in school curriculum to 'create a healthy nation'. Naidu, who participated in an International Yoga Day event at Bandra Reclamation Sealink Promenade in Mumbai, said the ancient Indian discipline was an invaluable gift to the world from India. "Yoga also helps in relief from stress due to changing lifestyles," Naidu added.
Who attended the yoga event in Bandra?
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also attended the event. He said that youngsters need to practice yoga for a good and healthy life. BJP MP from North Central Mumbai Poonam Mahajan, Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar and Union Minister Babul Supriyo participated in the event too. Among others who attended were Mumbai Police Commissioner Datta Padsalgikar and BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta.
Another yoga session at Raj Bhavan
Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao took part in a special yoga session organized by Kaivalyadhama and The Yoga Institute at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. His Secretary Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Secretary Ranjit Kumar and other officers took part in yoga session.
