NTA 2019-2020 exam calendar: Check JEE-Main, NEET dates here
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a detailed calendar for entrance and competitive examinations scheduled to be conducted between December 2019 and June 2020 in various cities across India. The NTA calendar lists the examination schedule for exams like UGC-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), CSIR-UGC NET, Joint Entrance Examination (Main), National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), etc. Here are more details.
JEE-Main to be held from January 6-11, 2020
As per the calendar, candidates can register for JEE between September 2-30, 2019. The exam will be held from January 6-11, 2020 and results will be announced on January 31, 2020. For JEE (Main) in April, registrations will open from February 7 till March 7, 2020 and the exam will be conducted between April 3-9, 2020. Results will be announced on April 30, 2020.
Check UGC-NET and CSIR-UGC NET exam dates below
The UGC-NET December exam will be held from December 2-6, 2019 and the June exam is scheduled between June 15-20, 2020. The CSIR-UGC NET December and June exams will be held on December 15, 2019, and June 21, 2020, respectively. For both UGC-NET and CSIR-UGC NET, registrations open from September 9, 2019, for the December exam, and March 16, 2020, for the June exam.
Here are the schedules for other examinations
NEET 2020: Registrations open from December 2-31, 2019. Examination date: May 3, 2020. CMAT 2020, GPAT 2020: Registrations open from November 1-30, 2019. Examination date: January 24, 2020. IIFT 2020: Registrations open from September 9-October 25, 2019. Examination date: December 1, 2019. Additionally, schedules for NCHM JEE 2020, IGNOU MBA/B.Ed Admission Test 2020, ICAR AIEEE 2020, JNUET 2020, DUET 2020 have also been released.
NTA requests other examining bodies to avoid clashes
The NTA notice, dated August 21, stated, "All examining bodies are requested to avoid these dates for conducting any Public Examination so that these examination dates do not clash and candidates do not face any inconvenience." To view the entire calendar, visit nta.ac.in.
4,000 Test Practice Centers available from September 1, 2019
Additionally, NTA had also established Test Practice Centers (TPCs) across India to allow candidates to familiarize themselves with computer-based tests (CBTs). Starting September 1, 2019, candidates can take these practice tests free of cost across 4,000 schools/engineering colleges with computer centers, which will be available on every Saturday/Sunday. During these practice tests, a qualified Nodal Officer and other staff will also help candidates.
