My Aadhaar Online contest: Everything you need to know
UIDAI, the statutory authority for Aadhaar, is hosting a My Aadhaar Online contest in India. Under this contest, participants are required to make a short video tutorial on any of the Aadhaar Online Services and send it to UIDAI. A total of 48 winners will be rewarded with attractive cash prizes. Here are the finer details.
Who can participate in this contest?
The My Aadhaar Online contest is open to residents of India and only those who have a valid Aadhaar ID are eligible to participate. The contest started on June 18, 2019 and it will end on July 8, 2019 at 23:59 hours IST.
How to participate in the contest?
To participate, you have to make a short graphical/animation video tutorial on any of the 15 Aadhaar Online Services such as Check Aadhaar generation, Update Address Online, or Lock/Unlock Biometrics. The duration of the videos can be between 30-120 seconds and they should explain the entire process of any one service you select. Notably, the video can only be in Hindi or English language.
Key points to note
You can select upto 15 categories and send multiple entries to increase your chances of winning. However, UIDAI will only consider one video for the award. Also, only individual entries will be accepted, so don't sent videos as team entries. Lastly, submitted video/videos must be your original work and should not have been published anywhere on or before the contest date.
Here's how to send the video file to UIDAI
You can upload the video to YouTube or Google Drive or any other online file sharing platform like DropBox, WeTransfer, etc and e-mail the video link to media.division@uidai.net.in Entries can be in MP4, AVI, FLV, WMV, MPEG or MOV video formats only. Further, full-HD (1080p) or higher resolution videos with better sound quality will be given preference.
Make sure your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar
Along with the video link, you'll also need to provide some personal details in the e-mail. You will have to provide your Aadhaar number, your name as it appears on Aadhaar, contact address, mobile number, and a YES/NO confirmation that your Aadhaar is linked to a bank account. If in case it is not linked, you'll have to get it linked before August 31.
Announcement of result and details about prizes
The result will be posted on UIDAI's official Social Media Platforms on or before August 31, 2019. As for cash prizes, there are a total of 15 categories and top 3 videos in each category will be awarded. The first place winner will be awarded Rs. 20,000 while the 2nd and 3rd place winners will get Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively.

Alongside the category-wise rewards, UIDAI will also present a cash prize to the top three videos from all entries. In this segment, the first place winner will get Rs. 30,000 while the second and third ranks will receive Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
