Muzaffarnagar: 12-year-old Dalit girl raped by 6, including 5 minors
A 12-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped for three days by six youths after being abducted by them last month from Kotwali police station area in UP's Muzaffarnagar district. A case has been registered yesterday against the six accused, five of them are minors aged between 14 and 16 years, SHO Anil Kapervan said, adding that the sixth accused is still not identified.
Victim's grandmother claims police refused to lodge FIR earlier
The girl was abducted by the accused in a car on June 26 when she was going to Kukra village in the district. Her maternal grandmother claims police had refused to lodge an FIR; the victim and her grandmother yesterday protested outside the DM's office demanding to lodge the complaint. The girl was sent for medical examination. Kapervan said all the accused are absconding.
