UP: Muslim-man thrashed over relationship with Hindu-woman, video goes viral

A viral video shows a Muslim man being thrashed, abused and threatened in Kanpur after he confessed about his 'relationship' with a Hindu woman.
The Uttar Pradesh police took action and have booked men for assaulting the 21-year-old hairdresser.
In the video, the victim is seen sitting on a bench at Barrajpur railway platform as men thrash him and ask details about his relationship.

We will destroy you, says one man in video
Reportedly, the incident took place last week, when Rizwan, had gone to meet his friend at the railway station. The video went viral on Friday.
The men then followed him and questioned him about the nature of his relationship. Upset with his answers, they beat him.
One among them threatened him and said, "We will change our names if we failed to destroy you."
What police said
Police identify two attackers, promise swift action
The men continued to abuse Rizwan in the video and threatened to expose him.
Rizwan alleges his attackers are affiliated to right-wing organizations but police have not yet confirmed it.
"The matter was brought to our notice and probe has already begun. We will arrest all accused," said UP Police spokesman Rahul Srivastava. Two of the accused were identified as Mohan and Bhole Dubey.

This attack on a Muslim man comes days after a police officer Gagandeep Singh saved a Muslim man from a fanatic crowd in Uttarakhand.
The man was meeting his Hindu friend, at a temple when a mob surrounded them. They let the girl go but started heckling the boy.
Just then, Gagandeep, rushed to the spot, hugged the boy and took him away.
